Its body is covered in numerous tubercles, and its tail has rings of small spines.
Dorsal Coloration
The species has a base coloration ranging from light grey to tan, with dark blotches arranged in three rows along the back.
Ventral Coloration
Its belly is pinkish-cream.
Native Distribution
This gecko is native to Sri Lanka, southern India, the Comoro Islands' Moheli, the Maldives, and the Mascarene Islands, including Reunion, Mauritius, and Rodrigues.
Introduced Distribution
Introduced populations also exist in Bangkok, Thailand, and the southern United States.
Diet and Feeding Behavior
In Sri Lanka, Hemidactylus parvimaculatus has been recorded preying on Ramanella variegata frogs and insects, and the species is also known to be cannibalistic.
