Its confirmed distribution includes Malabar, Nilambur, and Nellakota, all located on the western side of the Nilgiris.
Typical Forest Habitat
This gecko can be found on trees in dry teak forests.

Jerdon's type specimen of this species was originally collected from a warehouse located on the seacoast.
