It is a species of flying frog in the family Rhacophoridae, and it is endemic to northern Taiwan.

Individuals have only been observed at elevations between 400 and 600 meters above sea level.

Habitat

This frog lives in hilly area habitats including orchards, tea plantations, bamboo forests, shrublands, and forests.

Breeding Sites

This species breeds in tree holes, and will also breed in artificial containers like cisterns, buckets, and water tanks.
