Trichodiadema setuliferum is a small, slender, semi-erect plant species. It has long internodes covered in tiny papillae. Its leaves can grow up to 24 millimeters long, and are covered in bladder cells with hair-like papillae that curve toward their apex. Leaf tips are slightly recurved, and each leaf bears a diadem of up to 16 yellow-orange bristles. The plant's flowers range in color from pink to magenta.
