Stigmatopora narinosa, also commonly called the Southern Gulf pipefish, is a species of marine fish in the family Syngnathidae.
Habitat and Distribution
This species inhabits seagrass and algae patches in the shallow waters of Spencer Gulf and Gulf St. Vincent, South Australia.
Diet
Its diet is thought to be made up of small crustaceans, including copepods and amphipods.
Size
Mature males can reach a maximum total length of 11.3 centimeters.
Reproduction
This species reproduces via ovoviviparity: males brood eggs from December to March, then give birth to live young.
