It has been recorded in Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, and may also be present in El Salvador.

Its natural habitats include subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, rivers, pastureland, and heavily degraded former forests.
Conservation Threat
This species is currently threatened by habitat loss.
