Distinguishing Morphology
It differs from P. cupreus by having a tail that is both less fluffy and less whitish.

This species has a broad distribution across Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru.
Range Boundaries
Its known range lies east of the Urubamba River, is thought to extend west of the Ituxi River, and sits north of the Tambopata and Madre De Dios rivers.
