Related Taxa

It is closely related to the Seoul frog Pelophylax chosenicus and Pelophylax fukienensis; both of these related taxa were originally described as subspecies of Pelophylax plancyi.

Size

This species is medium to large in size: adult males reach 55 mm (2.2 inches) in length, while adult females reach 67 mm (2.6 inches) in length.
