Oedura castelnaui, commonly known as the northern velvet gecko, is a species of lizard belonging to the family Diplodactylidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to Queensland, Australia, and specifically occurs on Cape York Peninsula.

Natural Habitat

Its preferred natural habitats are forest and savanna.

Reproduction Mode

Oedura castelnaui reproduces through oviparity.

Clutch and Incubation

Females produce clutches of two eggs with a parchment-like shell, and these eggs hatch after 60 days of incubation.
