About Nemesia strumosa (Benth.) Benth.

Nemesia strumosa, commonly known as Cape jewels or pouch nemesia, is a flowering plant species in the Scrophulariaceae family. It is native to the southwestern Cape Provinces of South Africa. This plant is well suited for garden uses including beds, borders, rock gardens, and containers. Many of its commercially available cultivars are actually hybrids with Nemesia versicolor, and these cultivars produce flowers in a wide range of colours, including bicoloured varieties. When grown as a cool‑weather annual, it can be planted in USDA zones 2 through 10.
