Naultinus stellatus, commonly known as the Nelson green gecko or starred gecko, is a gecko species belonging to the family Gekkonidae.

Neotype Repository

Its neotype is held in the collection of the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.

Distribution Range

This species is found exclusively in the Nelson region of New Zealand, ranging south of the Bryant Range, west of the main divide, extending to the Murchison district and northern Westland.

Reproductive Mode

It reproduces via viviparity, meaning it gives birth to live young.

Litter Characteristics

Litters typically consist of twin young, which are born in autumn or early winter.
