Recognized Subspecies

In addition to the nominate subspecies, one other subspecies is recognized: Lygodactylus picturatus sudanensis Loveridge, 1935, commonly known as the Sudani dwarf gecko.

Taxonomic Synonymy

In 2004, the species Lygodactylus luteopicturatus was formally synonymized with Lygodactylus picturatus.
