Its range extends from Mexico through Central America, covering Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, all the way to Costa Rica. This species is widespread and common.
Habitat
It occurs in lowland and seasonal tropical forests, and can also adapt to human-created habitats including flooded agricultural lands and other water-containing systems.
Reproduction Requirements
Reproduction for this frog requires permanent pools and lagoons.
