Hyla molleri, commonly called the Iberian tree frog or Moller's tree frog, is a species of frog belonging to the family Hylidae.
Native Range
This species is endemic to the Iberian Peninsula and the extreme southwestern part of France.
Taxonomic History
It was previously classified as a subspecies of Hyla arborea, but was recognized as a separate distinct species based on genetic differences.
Etymology of Specific Epithet
Its specific epithet molleri was chosen to honor Adolphe F. Moller (1842–1920), a Portuguese botanist.
