About Dalea gattingeri (A.Heller) Barneby

Dalea gattingeri, commonly known as purpletassels or Gattinger prairie clover, is a flowering plant species belonging to the legume family. It is native to the Southeastern United States, and its range there is restricted to limestone cedar glades located in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, and Arkansas. Its populations are widely scattered and each is small in geographic size, with the majority of populations occurring in the Nashville Basin.
