Females of this species are typically larger than males.
Arabian Peninsula Distribution
Its confirmed geographic range includes Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen within the Arabian Peninsula.
Middle Eastern and Iranian Distribution
It also occurs in the Arava valley on the border between southern Israel and Jordan, and extends eastward through Jordan and Iraq to Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran.
Type Locality
The species' type locality is Beda Azan (23°41'N., 53°28'E.), Abu Dhabi (Abū Zaby), United Arab Emirates.
Habitat and Altitude Range
The preferred natural habitats of Cerastes gasperettii are desert and shrubland, found at altitudes up to 1,500 m (4,900 ft).

This species reproduces via oviparity.
