The black-spotted parrotfish (Austrolabrus maculatus), which is also called the black-spotted wrasse, is a species of wrasse.
Distribution and Depth Range
It is native to the coast of southern Australia, and occurs in inshore waters at depths ranging from 10 meters (33 feet) to 40 meters (131 feet).
Maximum Recorded Length
This species reaches a maximum recorded length of 12.6 centimeters (5.0 inches).
Genus Status
It is the only known member of the genus Austrolabrus.
