About Veronica ponae Gouan
Veronica ponae Gouan, commonly called Veronica ponae, is a small perennial herbaceous plant. It can grow between 10 and 40 centimetres (4 to 16 inches) tall. Individuals of this species are creeping and pubescent, with ascending, unbranched simple stems. Its leaves are oblong, ranging from lanceolate to oval in shape. They grow in opposite arrangements, are sessile, and have strongly serrated edges. This plant produces small blue or purple lilac flowers, which form elongated terminal clusters. The blooming period for Veronica ponae runs from June to September. This species is found in the Pyrenees region, specifically in southwestern France and northeastern Spain. It grows at elevations between 800 and 2,900 metres (2,600 to 9,500 feet) above sea level.
