Veronica fruticans Jacq. is a species of flowering plant in the family Plantaginaceae. It is commonly known as rock speedwell, a name shared with other members of the genus Veronica, and also as woodystem speedwell, a common name that is rarely used. It is native to almost all European countries, including the Faroe Islands and Iceland, as well as Greenland, which is considered floristically part of North America. Within its range, it grows in mountains in the southern portion of its distribution, and at lower elevations in colder northern areas. It is the official flower of Bardu Municipality, located in Troms county, Norway. It has been occasionally cultivated as a ground cover in rock gardens and alpine gardens.
