Verbascum phlomoides L. is a plant species in the family Scrophulariaceae, native to Europe and Asia Minor. It is commonly known by several common names: orange mullein, clasping-leaf mullein, and sometimes woolly mullein (a name that most often refers to the separate species Verbascum thapsus). It is a widespread weed in North America. The Royal Horticultural Society recognizes it as a good plant for attracting pollinators. It is used to treat respiratory catarrh and as a diuretic.
