Its base color is maroon, marked with slightly pale olive yellow spots, blotches, and streaks.

Dense olive speckles are present near the belly and thigh, and its foot and ankle are partially translucent.
Geographic Range
This species occurs throughout Sri Lanka, and is most abundant in the country's lowlands.

It occupies wet habitats including ponds and puddles, and is commonly found near human activity.
