Nomenclature and Identity
Uperodon mormoratus, also commonly called the Indian dot frog, marbled ramanella, dark-banded frog, and mottled globular frog, is a species of narrow-mouthed frog.
Native Range
This species is endemic to the Western Ghats of southwestern India.
Taxonomic History
It was formerly classified in the genus Ramanella.
Reported Occurrences
To date, it has only been reported from three locations, although it occurs in some numbers locally where it is found.
