Trimma cana, commonly known as the Candy cane pygmy-goby, is a species of goby first formally described by Winterbottom in 2004.
Distribution Range
This goby is native to the western Pacific Ocean, with a recorded range stretching from the Philippines to Palau.
Habitat Preferences
It lives on steep slopes on the outer sides of reefs, and prefers to settle on hard coral substrates.
Depth Range
It can be found at depths between 12 metres (39 feet) and 35 metres (115 feet).
Size
This species grows to a maximum standard length of 2.5 centimetres, which equals 0.98 inches.
