Native Range

It is native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean.

Habitat Type

In this range, the species inhabits lagoons and areas with fine sand substrates.

Typical Depth Range

Most individuals live at depths of less than 3 metres (9.8 ft).

Maximum Recorded Depth

They may occasionally be found as deep as 6 metres (20 ft), and are rarely found deeper than this.
