Its documented geographic range includes West Malaysia, Pulau Tioman, Johor Pulau Besar, Pulau Sibu; the Andaman Islands of India, the Sulu Archipelago of the Philippines; Indonesia's Borneo, Java, Sulawesi, and unconfirmed presence in Sumatra; Hong Kong (China), Singapore, India, Bangladesh, and Indochina extending west to Myanmar (also called Burma), Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia; as well as the Cook Islands and Christmas Island in Australia.
