This species is found in the Amazon Basin across eastern Peru, north-eastern Bolivia, south-eastern Ecuador, south-eastern Colombia, and Brazil.

Common Name and Type Locality

Its common name is Rio Mamore robber frog, named after the Mamoré River, which is its type locality.

Natural Habitat

Its natural habitats are tropical humid montane forests and tropical humid lowland forests.

Habitat Adaptability

It can also live in secondary forests and along forest edges.

It is very common across parts of its range.
