About Paederota bonarota (L.) L.

Paederota bonarota (L.) L. is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Plantaginaceae. This perennial plant is native to the eastern Alps of Italy, Austria, and Slovenia, and grows exclusively on dolomite in this region. The species was originally published under the name Veronica bonarota by Carl Linnaeus in his 1753 work Species Plantarum. In 1762, Linnaeus reclassified and renamed the species to Paederota bonarota.
