Endemism

This species is endemic to Southern Africa.

Its known distribution covers Lesotho, Mozambique, South Africa, Eswatini, and Zimbabwe, with an estimated total geographic range larger than 100,000 square kilometers (38,610 square miles).

Habitat and Altitude Range

Its preferred natural habitats are grassland and savanna, found at altitudes ranging from sea level up to 2,300 meters (7,500 feet).

Reproduction Mode
