Lotus herbaceus (Vill.) Jauzein is a herbaceous perennial plant in the genus Lotus of the legume family Fabaceae. This species encompasses the plants that were formerly classified as Dorycnium herbaceum and Dorycnium jordanii.

Its flowering period runs from May to July.

Distribution Range

This plant can be found across southern and eastern Europe, extending through Turkey to the Caucasus, and also grows in northern Africa.
