This species produces uniformly yellow flowers, which are carried on hairless pedicels 10 to 12.7 mm long, with attached bracteoles.
Sepal Characteristics
The sepals are hairless and 5.5 to 8 mm long.
Petal Measurements
The standard petal is 8 to 10 mm long, the wings 6.5 to 8 mm long, and the keel 6 to 7 mm long.
Flowering Period and Fruit
Flowering takes place from August to November, and the fruit is a pod roughly 10 mm long.
Habitat and Distribution
Gompholobium marginatum grows in gravelly or granitic soils, and is found in the Avon Wheatbelt, Esperance Plains, Geraldton Sandplains, Jarrah Forest, Mallee, Swan Coastal Plain and Warren biogeographic regions of south-western Western Australia.
