It grows in association with grain fields including wheat and oat, and less commonly barley, as well as fallow lands and meadows located within traditional or montado olive groves.
Rare Habitats
It rarely grows on embankments and roadside verges.
Soil Preferences
It thrives in these habitats due to the reduced application of herbicides, and it prefers clay-based, alkaline soils.
