Endemic Range
This species is endemic to Hainan Island, China.

It is a medium-sized frog; males have a snout-vent length of 49 mm (1.9 in), while females have a snout-vent length of 52 mm (2.0 in).
Natural Habitats
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and rivers.
Threat Status
