Adult Size

The adult Limnomedusa macroglossa frog has a snout-vent length ranging from 37.6 to 55.0 mm, with females growing larger than males.

Dorsal Skin Coloration

The dorsal skin is gray, marked with distinct dark brown spots.

Head Markings

Canthal stripes are present on the snout, with additional spots near the mouth and one spot between the eyes.

Body and Limb Markings

A V-shaped mark sits between the shoulders, and dark bars appear on all four limbs.

Habitat Preferences

This species lives in both open and forested areas with rocky soil along rivers.

Its tadpoles develop in temporary pools located alongside rivers.
