Geographic Distribution

This species is distributed across Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru.

Habitat Types

Its natural habitats are lowland and montane rainforests, and it has also been recorded in ditches and degraded areas.

Elevation Range and Protected Occurrence

It occurs at elevations ranging from 200 meters to 2050 meters above sea level, and can be found in many protected parks.

Reproduction

For reproduction, female individuals of this species build foam nests to hold their eggs, and the tadpoles complete their development in water.
