Distribution in Mexico

This species occurs across multiple Mexican states: Campeche, Chiapas, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, and Yucatán.

Distribution Outside Mexico

It is also found in Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras.

Habitat and Reproduction

Its preferred natural habitat is forest, and it reproduces via oviparity, laying eggs that develop and hatch outside the parent's body.
