About Isoglossa woodii C.B.Clarke

The stem of Isoglossa woodii C.B.Clarke is often multi-branched and sparsely hairy, with lower stems growing woody as the plant matures. Its leaves measure between 75 mm and 120 mm long, have a soft texture, and frequently droop during dry conditions. The leaf surface has a velvety feel from fine, dense hairs covering it. This species has a total life cycle of approximately 7 to 10 years; after reaching this age, all plants flower in large groups at once, then die off. Its flowers are borne in inflorescences, and individual flowers are whitish, measuring around 8 mm in length.
