About Incarvillea semiretschenskia (B.Fedtsch.) Grierson
This plant species has the scientific name Incarvillea semiretschenskia (B.Fedtsch.) Grierson. It grows numerous wiry upright stems that reach a height of 45 cm from a sub-shrub base. Its leaves are deeply incised, with linear lobes. It produces orange-pink tubular flowers that measure 6 cm long by 4 cm across. The fruits are 5 cm long, and have six very wavy wings. The documented ploidy for this species is 2n = 22. For cultivation, the plant requires well drained, dry soil, and a warm position fully exposed to full sun. It is hardy to temperatures as low as -15 °C.
