Endemic Range
This species is endemic to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the two eastern Canary Islands, as well as the smaller islands that surround them.

Its natural habitats include temperate forests, temperate shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, rocky areas, rocky shores, sandy shores, arable land, pastureland, and rural gardens.
