About Freylinia tropica S.Moore

Freylinia tropica S.Moore is a shrub native to Southern Africa. It grows in the South African province of Limpopo and in Zimbabwe, and has loose, spreading branches. This species is named after Pietro Lorenzo, the last Count of Freylino, who owned a famous garden in Buttigliera d'Asti near Turin, Italy in the early 19th century.
