Digitalis laevigata Waldst. & Kit. is a perennial herbaceous plant. It reaches a height of approximately 70 to 90 centimetres (28 to 35 inches). This species has erect stems that bear lance-shaped leaves, while its basal leaves range from oblong to oval in shape. It produces spires of bell-shaped flowers, which can be orange, umber, or yellow. These flowers have a large whitish lower lip, with interiors marked by purple veins and purple speckles. It blooms between May and July. This species is native to southern Europe, and grows wild in the Balkans.
