Distribution Range
It is native to the upper Amazon Basin, where it occurs across Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
Habitat
This is an abundant, widespread species that lives in bushes within open forest and clearing habitats.
Breeding Site Preference
It breeds in both permanent and temporary shallow ponds.
Reproduction
Females lay their eggs out of water on leaves, and the hatched tadpoles then develop within the water.
