Clinopodium chilense (Benth.) Govaerts, a member of the mint family Lamiaceae, has the synonym Satureja gilliesii. This plant is endemic to central Chile, where it occurs in the region of La Campana National Park. It grows in association with Jubaea chilensis, the endangered Chilean wine palm.
