About Buddleja parviflora Kunth
Buddleja parviflora Kunth grows to less than 10 meters tall in the wild, with a trunk diameter of less than 20 centimeters. Its bark is blackish and peels off in layers. Young branches are subquadrangular, covered in dense fuzzy hairs, and bear opposite, somewhat leathery leaves. Leaves of this species are variable in shape, measuring 3 to 12 centimeters long and 1 to 4.5 centimeters wide.
The inflorescences are white to greenish-white, paniculate, 3 to 18 centimeters long and 2 to 12 centimeters wide. They consist of 2 to 3 orders of branches that are subtended by small leaves, and these branches bear small cymules holding 3 to 5 tiny flowers. The bell-shaped corollas are 1 to 1.5 millimeters long. The ploidy of this species is 2n = 76.
This species is uncommon in cultivation, and it is hardy in USDA zones 8–9.
