About Anemone edwardsiana Tharp

Anemone edwardsiana Tharp is a plant that grows from tubers, and produces multiple lobed basal leaves. Its flower is carried on a stalk that can reach up to 50 centimeters tall. A deeply divided, leaf-like bract sits below the plant's single white flower, which occasionally develops two flowers. The flower may sometimes have a blue or red tint. This species is primarily found on moist limestone bluffs, limestone ledges, and in rocky, limestone-derived soils located on the Edwards Plateau.
