Acmispon argyraeus, with the scientific synonym Lotus argyraeus, is a legume species native to California and northwest Mexico. Its common name is canyon bird's-foot trefoil.
Habitat
This plant grows in dry mountain habitats.

It is a perennial herb, with leaves each consisting of several oval leaflets that are roughly 1 cm long. Most of the plant has a silky hairy texture.
Flower Characteristics
One to three pinkish-yellow flowers, each approximately 1 cm long, grow in each inflorescence.

The fruit it produces is a dehiscent legume pod that can reach up to 2.5 cm in length.
