Veronica peduncularis, commonly known as creeping speedwell, is a flowering plant belonging to the plantain family, Plantaginaceae. It is also referenced under its synonym Veronica umbrosa, and its cultivar 'Georgia Blue' has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. This plant is a semi-evergreen perennial with creeping stems that bear alternate, simple leaves. Its flowers are blue and bloom in spring. While it is hardy, it needs a sheltered location with full sun and good drainage to grow well. It is an appropriate plant for gravel gardens or alpine gardens.
