Subspecies Distribution in Southern Regions

Veronica hectorii subsp. hectorii and subsp. demissa occur in the southern South Island, from Aoraki / Mount Cook southwards, and also on Stewart Island.

Subspecies Distribution in Northern/Western South Island

Veronica hectorii subsp. coarctata grows in the north and west of the South Island.

Species Habitat

The entire species occurs in subalpine and low alpine habitats.
