About Veronica caucasica M.Bieb.

Veronica caucasica M.Bieb. is a perennial speedwell that is native to the area east of the Black Sea, and is also cultivated in gardens. Its ascending stems grow up to 30 cm tall. It bears white flowers marked with purple veins; the center of the flowers fades to pink, and this pink coloration is sometimes faint. Its leaves are deeply divided into many narrow segments, which may divide further, and their margins curl under. The whole plant is hairy, sometimes very densely so. It produces hairy capsule fruits that measure 4 by 6 mm. Photographic examples of this species can be viewed on iNaturalist. Its native distribution covers the North Caucasus and the Transcaucasus.
