This species is native to Africa.

Geographic Distribution

Trioceros ellioti is distributed across Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Natural Habitat and Altitude

Its preferred natural habitats are forest, savanna, shrubland, and grassland, occurring at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,800 meters (3,900 to 5,900 feet).

Anthropogenic Habitats

It has also been observed in human-disturbed areas, including plantations, gardens, and open fields.
