About Trifolium micranthum Viv.

Trifolium micranthum, commonly known as slender trefoil or slender hop clover, is a plant species that belongs to the genus Trifolium in the pea family, which is also called Fabaceae or Papillionaceae. This species is distributed across Central and Western Europe, where it grows on river dunes. It is an annual plant that produces ovate or lance-shaped leaves; the middle leaves on this plant have shorter petioles than other leaves. The stems that hold the plant's flowering heads bend and hang over slightly. Each flowering head contains 5 to 7 bright yellowish-orange flowers, which bloom from May through July. The plant's seed pods all curve in the same direction.
